OBD Fusion – it is an application for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch that allows you to read diagnostic data from your car.
With the advent of progress, more and more electronics appear in cars that allow you to improve the characteristics of the car, provide the owner with information of interest, self-diagnose problems and much, much more. However, when it comes to more serious diagnostics, you have to pay money at those stations. What for? After all, all this can be done on your own. OBD Fusion will be an excellent assistant in this matter.
Almost every more or less modern car is equipped with a special OBD-2 or EOBD connector that allows you to connect directly to the “brains” of your car. For example, we have a chance to remove a recent airbag error or consider an unexpected engine error. Arriving at the service station, we will pay around $ 16-20 for diagnostics, but you can do it all yourself, just buy an OBD-2 or EOBD cable and the appropriate software. A cable with a Wi-Fi module can be easily found on the Internet, and its cost will cost a little more than one trip to a service station for diagnostics.
By connecting the cable to the car, setting up synchronization with your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad via Wi-Fi and launching the OBD Fusion application, we will be able to:
- Diagnose, fix and remove software errors
- Find out the current (second) fuel consumption and consumption per 100 km, power reserve, and display these results on a virtual dashboard.
- Keep a LOG file with all events
- Find out all the information about the car
- Conduct GPS tracking
- Have a customizable dashboard and the ability to view graphs based on available data.
- And much more…
